A POSIBLE Success story: How an OFW couple started their chain of payment centers

posible success story

You see them at the airport departure area every day. It’s hard not to miss the sight: A lone man or woman surrounded by their family members for one last hug. Then, with one last look, the man or woman turns away and bravely pushes their luggage without looking back. Hoping na one day, they can be their own success story and give their kids the good life they deserve.

Writing their own success story

The Sios-e couple alternately worked abroad and came back home to start a business for several years, but things did not work out easily. While Auxiliario, or Aux to his friends, worked abroad, Mary managed the business at home, which included a computer shop and diaper retail. “Mahirap,” Mary describes the experience. “First time ko mag-negosyo, hindi ako masyadong familiar sa computer, kaya later on, napilitan kami magsara.”

After another shot at working abroad to finance her children’s education, Aux finally convinced his wife to come home. This time, they agreed to start a business together. What happened next proved to be the turning point that would jumpstart their own success story.

From one machine to managing several outlets

After earning their additional income from processing bill payments and selling prepaid credits to the community, the couple realized they could earn even more. “Naisip namin ibenta at i-offer itong POSIBLE sa mga kakilala at kamag-anak namin,” Mary said. But not everyone among their friends was as brave as the Sios-e couple. They then started offering the product on social media and almost going door-to-door at one point.

To their delight, people did buy the POSIBLE machines from them and started earning additional income for their families.

From time to time, when they are not selling POSIBLE Business Packages, Aux and Mary would go visit their store outlets to check for problems. But at the end of the day, they can go home to be with their family.

So how do they describe their success story? But for Mary, she can summarize it in one unique statement:
